  • Involvement of experts in EU HTA is great. Not so great is the far reaching definition of Conflicts of Interests as defined in the Implementing Acts (https://www.ecker-ecker.de/media/Ecker+Ecker_COI_2024-11-14.pdf)
     
  • As this Implementing Act is hard to read, we prepared this overview. It does not cover every detail - so consult the Implementing Acts before making final choices.
     
  • Note that Conflicts of Interests lead to an exclusion from the respective EU HTA procedure (JSC or JCA). Review of Conflicts of Interests focus on the last 3 years (calculating backwards from initiation of the procedure). So be mindful when engaging with Patient Representatives and Clinical Experts.
