Have you already carried out your first PICO survey? How did you organize the interaction with your local affiliates? Better use a template.
A template allows for standardized communication with your affiliates (or local consultants). Everyone gets the same information - and you can build on that experience for the next survey.
📋 This is how our template for the PICO survey looks like:
🔹 Executive summary
🔹 Introduction and objective
🔹 Background information on the product: draft label, study design, relevant guidelines and key statements
🔹 Overview on the process of PICO survey: definitions, synthax,
🔹 PICO proposal
🔹 Input for member state on: comparators, outcomes, subgroups, additional requirements
🔹 Next steps
🆔And don't forget using clear ID's, e.g., PICO [COU] ([YYYY-MM]) [#] with
🔹 COU: country code (based on ISO 3166-1 alpha-3; Link: https://lnkd.in/eg56xhCY), e.g. FRA
🔹 YYYY: year of survey initiation, e.g. 2024
🔹 MM: month of initiation, e.g. 10
🔹 number of PICO provided by country in this survey, e.g. A
So the actual ID would be: PICO FRA 2024-10 A
You will need this for PICO consolidation as well as for updating the survey.
